Please help by signing this petition. We need 3000 signatures to get it debated by CCC.There was a petition around 10 years ago which had almost 2000 and it was read out but no action was taken to resolve the issue.. We have thousands more residents in the surrounding towns and we are all affected by the disruption, now is your time to get this ongoing problem resolved. Residents and businesses in Cambridgeshire need this vital route open at all times. We would like the County council to debate the posibility of improving the bridges and road. We are told by some that it would 'cost millions' to rebuild the bridges or raise the road and we would like to see some evidence to allow us to be more informed.

Suggestions not limited to:

Do a cost/benefit analysis associated with improving the access (residents and businesses lose income, spend more on fuel, waste time. miss appointments and increase environmental polution)

Flood defences

Raising of the roads either side of the bridges

Limit or stop heavy goods vehicles using the route

Build a stronger road to avoid future damage

Guarantee flood warning signs are working at all times

Place diversion signs in appropriate locations

Ensure developers using the infrastructure contribute to the community
